Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our clinic's Infectious Disease Department. The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, and entering data into the EPIC system. Responsibilities include rooming patients and ensuring smooth patient flow within the clinic, taking and recording patient vitals accurately, entering patient information and medical data into the EPIC system, collaborating with the staff RN to provide comprehensive patient care, and assisting patients who are infected with a disease or those traveling to high-risk countries.

Essential Skills :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential is required.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records system.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

Work Environment :

The Medical Assistant will work Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM in a vibrant clinic environment with 14 exam rooms. The practice sees 70-100 patients a day and is supported by a team of 9 Medical Assistants. This role is within a teaching practice, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
