Summary

  • Responsible for executing all activities to ensure the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) is completed, enabling the timely availability of materials to support the product supply plan.
  • Acts as a liaison across key functions to provide timely updates to material plans in response to changes in production schedules or material availability issues.
  • Supports inventory planning and optimization initiatives to ensure efficient and cost-effective material management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tasks to convert planned orders into material plans, including the creation and management of material requirements.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planners and Schedulers to ensure material plans remain current and responsive to changes.
  • Create and maintain detailed material planning parameters in planning systems.
  • Convert material requirements (purchase requisitions) into purchase orders.
  • Expedite material availability by coordinating with Procurement and inbound material processing teams.
  • Develop and manage material-related KPIs to ensure accurate visibility of material availability.
  • Execute actions to optimize inventory management, including mobilization or write-offs, while minimizing scrap and waste.
  • Partner with Supply Planners, Schedulers, and Project Managers to establish safety stock and inventory plans aligned with production requirements.
  • Track, report, and facilitate on-time material availability, including testing and release processes for production.

    • Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong ability to support and execute supply chain inventory management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze KPIs, generate reports, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint in particular).
  • Experience using Business Intelligence systems for data extraction and reporting.
