Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation & Insurance Defense

Location : Remote (California or anywhere in the U.S. with active California license)

Established litigation firm seeking to add an  Associate Attorney (2–10 years of experience)  to its team. The firm has a strong reputation in civil litigation and insurance defense, with practice areas spanning construction defect, product liability, professional negligence, environmental torts, and complex tort and business disputes.

This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants to gain hands-on experience with challenging, high-value cases while developing trial and litigation skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a diverse caseload in areas such as insurance coverage, construction defect, product liability, and general tort litigation.

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.

Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, and mediations.

Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy and trial preparation.

Represent clients in court proceedings, including motion practice and, when appropriate, trial.

Maintain strong client relationships and provide timely case updates.

Qualifications

J.D. and active California bar license (must be licensed and in good standing).

2–10 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related practice areas.

Strong legal writing, research, and courtroom skills.

Ability to manage cases independently with appropriate guidance based on level of experience.

Excellent communication, organization, and client-relations skills.

Trial or deposition experience is a plus, but not required.
