Shift Length : 12 hours (8am–8pm or 9am–9pm)

Guaranteed Hours : 34.5 hrs / week

Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS

Trauma Level : II

Charting System : Allscripts

Unit Details

Department : Dialysis | RN

Beds / Chairs : 4-station Dialysis Suite + bedside dialysis throughout hospital (ER, ICU, CCU, etc.)

Work Environment :

Travelers primarily perform bedside dialysis and must be able to work independently .

Dialysis Suite sees ~12 patients / day.

Bedside dialysis RNs see ~9–10 patients / day.

Individual workload : Maximum 3 patients / day (each treatment ≈ 3 hours).

Patient population : Adults only; acute & chronic dialysis.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year Dialysis RN experience required.

Prefer both acute & chronic dialysis (inpatient + outpatient), but will accept either — please specify candidate’s background.

ICU or PCU experience preferred.

Job Duties

Cannulation and de-cannulation of fistulas and dialysis catheters

Operation, testing, and maintenance of dialysis machines

Administering acute and chronic dialysis treatments (unit + bedside)

Machine disinfection between treatments

Fresenius AT 2000 – Bluestar

Portable WRH

Scheduling

Shift Options : 12-hour shifts (8–8 : 30 or 9–9 : 30)

Weekend Requirement : Every other Saturday

Holiday Requirement : None

Call Requirement : None for travelers

Floating : Throughout hospital to administer inpatient dialysis
