Traveling Safety Manager (Regional) – Eastern Pennsylvania

Duration : 8+ Months (Immediate Start)
Type : 1099 Contractor
Compensation
Hourly Rate : $52.50 / hr (based on experience and certifications)
Per Diem : $130 / day (7 days per week)
Completion Bonus : $150 / month
Pay Schedule : Weekly
Travel Pay : Depending on availability, a company truck will be provided, or mileage and gas reimbursement will be offered for personal vehicle use.
Schedule
Monday – Friday (First Shift)
40–50 hours per week (4x10s or 5x10s schedule)
Project Scope
The Traveling Safety Manager (Regional) will oversee electrical contractors for a mid-sized electrical contractor working in union, utility, substation, storm restoration, and line work environments.
This position includes conducting site visits, safety inspections, and providing field support across multiple projects within a 6-hour travel radius of Eastern Pennsylvania.Primary focus : Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all active projects.
There is potential for a long-term, full-time opportunity with the client.
Qualifications
Utility and construction background (required)
OSHA 30 or higher (required)
CUSP certification preferred (not required)
Familiarity with clearance controls and excavation safety
Union experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated field experience may substitute for formal certifications
Key Responsibilities
Conduct project safety inspections and new hire orientations
Facilitate safety training and toolbox talks as needed
Monitor field employees and enforce safety compliance
Review and manage safety documentation and contractor correspondence
Support incident investigations and root cause analyses
Perform additional EHS-related duties as assigned
Skills & Knowledge
Skills :
Strong public speaking and communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Knowledge :
In-depth understanding of construction safety and regulatory standards
Ability to effectively communicate and apply safety principles in the field
