Travel RN Job Details – Med / Surg / Tele in North Carolina

Location : Albemarle, NC 28001 (North Carolina travel nursing jobs)

Unit : Medical / Surgical & Telemetry (35 beds, average census 22)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (8 / 25 / 2025 – 11 / 22 / 2025)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend

Holiday Coverage : 75% of holidays required

Scrub Color : Navy

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570–$1680 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 18 months of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry RN experience

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Strong clinical skills in post-op care, orthopedic nursing, TPN / PPN, stroke care, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain / tube management, PCA pumps, wound care, and medication gtt management (including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF)

Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors preferred

Willingness to float within the region (Med / Tele, ICU, PCU, ED, and other healthcare facilities as needed)

Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to patient-centered care

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse Med / Surg and Telemetry patients, including those with stroke, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses, diabetes, post-surgical needs, and behavioral health concerns

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document accurately in EPIC EMR

Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor cardiac rhythms in a fast-paced hospital environment

Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Float to other units and healthcare facilities within the region as required, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism

Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on patient safety, clinical excellence, and positive outcomes
