Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Maine nursing license or compact state license required

    • \n

  • BSN preferred

    • \n

  • Minimum of 2 years recent emergency department experience required

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS

    • \n

  • Complete immunization requirements including varicella, Hepatitis B, MMR, Tdap, and PPD within past 12 months

    • \n

  • Flu vaccination required during flu season

    • \n

  • Report to Human Resources on day 1 for onboarding process

    • \n

  • Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments for all age groups

    • \n

  • Develop and implement patient care plans based on needs and physician orders

    • \n

  • Document patient care activities according to established standards and hospital policies

    • \n

  • Administer medications using the five rights through med verification system

    • \n

  • Provide patient and family education and discharge planning

    • \n

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding

    • \n

  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and assisting with patient mobility

    • \n

  • Exposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, and cleaning chemicals possible

    • \n

  • Participate in emergency / disaster preparedness planning and drills

    • \n

  • Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within 12 weeks
