Job description

The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University is seeking a board-certified / board-eligible Division Chief of Gastroenterology. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide comprehensive clinical care, contribute to cutting-edge research, and engage in teaching the next generation of Gastroenterologists.

Position :

  • Clinical Leadership : Establish and maintain high standards of patient care including access to services and overseeing quality metrics
  • Operational Oversight : Enhance operational efficiencies including improving scheduling to reduce patient wait times
  • Educational Excellence : Mentor fellows, residents, and med students
  • Research Advancement : Encourage clinical and translational research
  • Talent Management : Recruiting and retaining top-tier faculty
  • Leadership experience in academic medicine is highly valued along with proficiency in advanced GI procedures
