Job Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for sheet metal projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather essential project details and requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Review and interpret bid documents, contracts, and proposals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to evaluate project scope and verify field conditions.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Track and manage multiple estimates and project deadlines concurrently.
• Update and maintain estimating databases and software with current material and labor costs.
• Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to manufacturing or installation.
• Provide technical support and clarification during the project execution phase.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimating practices.
• Generate reports and summaries for management review and strategic planning.
