POSITION SUMMARY :

The Clinical Dietitian plans and delivers nutrition care to patients in accordance with the physician’s diagnosis and requirements of regulatory agencies. functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide nutrition counseling for individuals, performs nutrition screening and assessments, and develops appropriate nutrition care plans.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition
Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetics Registrations
Good verbal and written communications skills
Basic computer skills with minimal guidance
Must be able to read, write, and speak English

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :

Physical : Walking – up to 30%

Standing – up to 60%

Kneeling – up to 10%

Sitting – up to 50%

Pushing – up to 20%

Bending – up to 25%

Squatting – up to 10%

Pulling – up to 20%

Reaching – up to 30%

Lifting – up to 50lbs

Wrist / Finger Movements – up to 90%

Mental : Stress Level : Moderate to high

EXPOSURE RISK :

Category II - Jobs in which required tasks normally do not involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues but which could result in Category I exposure.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED :

BMI calculator, scales, feeding pumps, beds, glucose monitors, cooking elements, telephone, facsimile machine, copier, printers, and computers.
