Job Title : Electrical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Product Development Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the design and development of electrical components and systems for products with an emphasis on AC power distribution, USB charging, and integration of electronics such as sensors, microcontrollers, and lighting. The engineer will lead new product development and support existing products, collaborating across teams to ensure compliance with NEC, UL, and other standards.
Responsibilities
Lead electrical design for new products, including AC / DC power systems, PCB development, and prototyping.
Collaborate with industrial designers and cross-functional teams to meet product performance, cost, and manufacturability goals.
Apply engineering analysis and problem-solving to develop innovative solutions.
Create and maintain engineering documentation including CAD models, schematics, BOMs, and ECOs.
Support testing, compliance, and supplier engagement throughout development and launch.
Mentor team members and contribute to project planning and execution.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
7+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in product development.
Proficiency in Altium or KiCAD for PCB design; experience with USB-C power delivery and firmware preferred.
Familiarity with NEC, UL 1286 / 962 / 962A, FCC, and EMC standards.
Experience in office furniture, appliances, or consumer products preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of AC power distribution in office environments.
Basic electronics knowledge and hands-on prototyping skills.
Experience working within regulatory standards and compliance frameworks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00 / hr.
