American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Telemetry position on the 7th floor with a WA or compact RN license and strong telemetry skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care Med / Surg Telemetry unit with 32 bedsPatient population includes medical / surgical overflow with telemetryNurse-to-patient ratios are 4 : 1 or 5 : 1, depending on censusRN is required to titrate drips such as insulin and pain medicationsCentralized telemetry with RNs validating tele stripsUses Epic EMR systemShift is 12 hours, nights (7 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 30 a.m.), with every other weekend requiredSelf-scheduling with the possibility to fill open shiftsFloating to other units as neededNo designated scrub color; professional attire is requiredHighly functioning and family-oriented team with great supportNurse aides provide support with average ratios of 8 : 1 or 10 : 1Respiratory therapies such as BiPAP and high flow devices are utilized on the unitUnit has both charge nurses and house supervisors availableMust work at least one winter and one summer holiday if assignment overlaps with those datesPossibility to be placed on standby; no mandatory callNo requested time off (RTO) is permitted during the first week of the assignmentSpecific reference requirements : one supervisor reference from the past year and one peer or supervisor reference from the past three yearsReturning candidates must not have been employed by facilities associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year\n \n Requirements\n
