The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Team Lead who’s not just a tax expert—but a builder. You’ll work directly with leadership to shape the structure, strategy, and success of our remote tax team. What You’ll Do

Build, lead, and mentor a team of remote tax professionals

Oversee tax preparation and review for individual and small business clients

Develop and implement scalable workflows and procedures

Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws and deadlines

Serve as a senior advisor on complex tax matters and high-value clients

Collaborate with other departments to align tax strategy with client wealth goals

Provide training and support to ensure ongoing professional development of team members

Help drive recruitment and onboarding of new tax team members

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading and growing a tax team (CPA firm experience a plus, but not required)
• EFIN required

5+ years of tax preparation / advisory experience

Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and individual / business taxation

Experience with tax software (Drake, ProConnect, or similar)

Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Passion for remote work and modern business practices

Ability to think strategically and solve problems proactively

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA or EA is a plus
