Responsibilities
Perform clinical and administrative duties that assist in the delivery of effective patient care within the assigned areaGreet patients, escort them to the exam room, and perform vitals and other related MA dutiesDemonstrate knowledge of medical practice and patient care as it relates to the clinical setting and medical specialtyAdhere to policies and procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.Qualifications
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED EquivalentOne year of recent experience working in a medical facility performing Medical Assistant duties or equivalent; OR, recent graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care, and, if required, maintain training in venipunctureTechnical training in the following medical equipment : AED, autoclave, BP cuffs (adult, infant, and pediatric), colposcopy, cryo unit, disposable equipment (gloves, goggles, gowns, etc), EKG machine, glycosometer, nebulizer, nitrogen cylinder, O2 cylinder, pulmonary function machine, pulse oximeter, scale (adult and infant), spirometer, stethoscope, thermometer, wheelchair, and woods lamp.Preferred Job Requirements :
Completion of a medical assistant program from an accredited institution.Registered or nationally certified Medical Assistant.
