The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily functions of the HR department at the Union City manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for a variety of HR activities including full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and training coordination. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly, technical, and salaried positions — including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with enrollment and claims.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Partner with supervisors and managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and corrective action processes.
- Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping verification, and attendance tracking.
- Support health and safety initiatives, workers’ compensation claims, and plant-wide wellness activities.
- Lead or participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Proven experience managing recruiting efforts in a high-volume environment.Working knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, OSHA).Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems preferred (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom).Skills & Competencies :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.High level of confidentiality and professionalism.Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
