Job descriptionDelegate responsibility while providing clear expectations, consistent accountability and regular feedback. Lead, mentor and develop employees to consistently meet expectations by growing in competence and character. Utilize available resources to enable employees to plan and achieve their developmental goals while contributing to the ongoing success of TURBOCAM. Manage people, resources and assigned budget (if applicable) to achieve objectives. Understand, comply with, promote and implement all established company initiatives. Continuously seek to improve the safety, quality, and performance of your team. Understand and utilize all established company-wide resources provided to those ends. Managing TAPS Quality organization, including Quality Engineering and Lab Inspection staff. Leading and managing the TAPS quality system in order to maintain IATF16949 certification through coordination of assignments of all affected TAPS personnel. Managing the TAPS QMS including Management responsibilities, non-conformances, customer and process control documents, quality system records, internal / compliance audits, Corrective Actions and Continual Improvement. Developing effective relationship management with customer contacts / systems that provides clear understanding of requirements, expectations, and assists in resolving issues and improving customer satisfaction. Overseeing Supplier activities that sustain effective product flow, implementing process improvements and maintaining supplier audit oversight and approvals as required. Publishing TAPS quality system metrics to the Director of Quality and TAPS leadership team on a monthly basis. Promoting and assisting in development of appropriate work instructions and procedures. Overseeing effective submission of PPAP's in line with customer system requirements. Overseeing management of quality system training, including employee training plans and records. Overseeing the implementation and use of SPC to provide timely feedback on process capability. Performing other duties as necessary. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree in technical field preferred. 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality organization. Experience working in automotive quality systems and familiarity with all requirements. Proficient in MS Office : Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, ERP software (Epicor preferred), and Minitab. Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis. Proficient in Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T). Demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills; attentive to detail. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 25 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time. This position oversees the Quality staff, QMS and Supplier Quality activities as a member of the TAPS leadership team.
