Senior Java Software Developer

Job title : Senior Java Software Developer Location : NYC NY (Hybrid 2-3 days / week) Local candidates strongly preferred. Duration : 6+ Months Rate : $Open Start Date : ASAP Interview Mode : Interview will be f-f for final round (after 2-3 video rounds, will likely have a coding test) Visas : Independent and Security cleareance (Applicable) Client : Banking and Trading Customer Key skills : Java, Equities (Loans, Collateral, Margins, Lending), FIX, JS (about 20% front end work), Time-series, Pricing strategies No of Positions : 2 2 openings : : one is more backend shared services (like scheduling tools) and the other is more on application side. Really need more of a front office type of person (i.e., working with traders) Job Description : - 100% hands-on Front Office Java Developer (with python is a plus), with good understanding of backend and front-end technologies (e.g. html, css, javascript) (with vue.js is a plus) - Good understanding of equities and equity derivatives product; trading workflow (with FIX protocol) - Experience with developing trading platforms (For example : Order Management system, Stockloan system, market data system; but not limited to) - Experience working on trading desks; working with traders, quants, and risk management teams - Experience with pricing strategies, quantitative modeling (preferably in volatility) and P&L calculations is a plus - Experience with Quod (OMS) is a plus - Experience with Murex is a plus - Good education background and / or strong experience in financial industry - Experience collaborating effectively with business users (traders / sales), multitasking and adapting in a fast-paced environment - Highly organized, must be eager to learn and grow Required years of experience : 12-15+ years Education requirement : Bachelor
