Overview
Quality Engineer — Full-time
Ensure all components consistently meet customer and internal quality standards. Lead defect reduction and process improvement efforts; prevent nonconforming parts from reaching the customer. Partner with engineering, production, and suppliers from new product launch through mass production.
What you will be doing as a Quality Engineer
- Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical requirements to validate final product conformance
- Manage and monitor QA process controls for incoming materials, components, and finished cast parts
- Lead nonconformance investigations using structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and implement corrective / preventive actions
- Audit suppliers, work with them to prevent defects upstream, and act as technical liaison with customers and suppliers
- Lead continuous improvement (e.g. KAIZEN) to reduce scrap, rework, and improve yield and efficiency
- Support new product launches : cross-functional coordination, safe launch planning, pre- and post-launch verification
- Collaborate with production, tooling, maintenance, and engineering to resolve quality issues quickly and permanently
What you will need as a Quality Engineer
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with emphasis on automotive preferredExperience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, control plans, FMEA, SPC, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) preferred but not requiredSend resume to Desmond Nugent
