About the Activities Assistant Role
As the Activities Assistant you’ll play a key role in planning and delivering meaningful, engaging activities that enhance the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being of our residents. You’ll also be cross-trained as Activities Assistant and Transportation Driver , responsible for operating our Tesla and 15-passenger bus for personal transportation and community outings. (CDL not required.)

Key Responsibilities of an Activities Assistant
Assist the Director of Engagement and Memory Care Director in planning and delivering activities for Memory Care and Assisted Living residents
Coordinate logistics for events, including space, equipment, food, and transportation
Evaluate residents’ individual interests and needs to ensure personalized engagement
Lead group and one-on-one activities designed to support wellness and joy
Decorate community common areas seasonally and for special occasions
Drive residents safely for outings and personal trips in company vehicles
Maintain records and work within department budget
Support marketing efforts by participating in events and tours
Attend ongoing training and development sessions
Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful community atmosphere
Serve as a liaison between residents, staff, and leadership to promote feedback and satisfaction
Activities Assistant Qualifications
Must be at least 26 years of age (required for insurance purposes due to driving responsibilities)
Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
Previous experience in senior living, memory care, or hospitality is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with residents’ families
Creative, energetic, and solutions-focused approach
Basic computer skills (e.g., email, calendars, flyers)
Ability to lead engaging programs and adapt to varying resident needs
Must receive an annual flu vaccine (medical / religious exemptions considered)
