Imaging Healthcare Specialists is looking for a PET / CT Technologist! Now offering an $8,000 sign-on bonus for qualified FULL TIME PET / CT Technologists. Our experienced staff of doctors, technologists and support personnel are committed to providing the most accurate, safe, timely and caring medical imaging (such as MRI, CT, mammography and x-ray) and interventional radiology services (minimally invasive treatment for diseases and other health conditions like chronic pain).
Locations with Position Openings : Encinitas with some shifts at the Hillcrest location. Position Status Options : Full Time. Work week : Four (4) 10-hour work days a week. Salary : $60 to $70 an hour based off experience.
Responsibilities
- Review patient orders, image per protocol, and post-process while following Single Flow protocols and LEAN principles.
- Assist daily operations as needed with a focus on IHSs standard for excellent patient care.
- Follow ALARA principles for safe handling, receiving and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Maintain strong IV skills and ability to follow written instructions, protocols and standard work.
- Obtain patients' histories from electronic records, patient interviews, dictated reports, or by communicating with referring clinicians.
- Review patient orders and image requests, address patient questions, and perform image procedures while upholding IHS patient service quality standards.
- Transmit images and information using PACS; evaluate medical information to determine patient risk factors and appropriateness of procedures.
- Consult with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses and provide coaching as needed.
- Support management in enforcing protection standards for patients or personnel and monitor quality control of images.
- Interpret images using computer-aided detection / diagnosis systems and prepare reports and correspondence related to exams, shift reports, and inquiries.
- Identify equipment maintenance needs and communicate with supervision; contribute as a backup for other departments as required.
- Assist with maintenance needs of imaging equipment and prepare reports for Modality Manager review.
Qualifications
