Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Auburn, NY

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM

Position Overview :

A facility in Auburn, NY is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) for a 13-week contract. This is a 10-bed Critical Care unit where nurses provide comprehensive care for high-acuity patients. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience, be comfortable floating to Med Surg when needed, and demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations with confidence and precision.

Unit Details : 10-bed ICU

RN-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Charting Systems : Allscripts, Paragon, McKesson

Equipment : 2 Servo vents, LTVs, Vapotherm, and V60 Bipaps

Pediatric cases are rare but may occur

Minimum of 3 RNs scheduled per shift

Responsibilities include vent and drip management, arterial and central line care, and participation in codes

EKG proctored exam required on Day 1 of contract

Requirements :

Active RN license (NY)

2 years of recent ICU experience required

Travel experience required

Must be willing to float to Med Surg units as needed

Must hold BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications

AHA NIHSS certification and 6 Stroke-related CEUs required prior to start

Charge experience preferred
