Compensation : Starting at $95,000 annually (DOE)
1. Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure the highest standards of guest experience, team performance, and financial success. This position requires a strong, hands-on leader with proven expertise in fine dining management, staff development, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, hospitality leadership, and business acumen while maintaining the restaurant's standards of service, quality, and culture. The General Manager will drive growth through effective people management, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction, while representing the brand's commitment to exceptionalism and hospitality.
2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including Front of House and Back of House coordination.
Ensure adherence to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain superior guest service through consistent oversight and engagement on the floor.
Monitor quality control across all service and culinary functions.
Implement systems for continuous improvement and operational consistency.
Team Management & Development
Hire, train, and develop management and hourly team members to uphold the brand's hospitality standards.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to drive accountability and professional growth.
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that promotes excellence and retention.
Financial Performance
Manage restaurant P&L, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
Monitor labor, food, and beverage costs to maximize profitability.
Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to meet revenue and margin goals.
Guest Experience & Brand Representation
Ensure each guest receives a memorable, best-in-class dining experience.
Lead by example with a visible presence on the floor, addressing guest concerns and feedback promptly.
Support marketing initiatives, special events, and brand partnerships to strengthen community presence.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations.
Maintain facility cleanliness and uphold all food safety standards.
Ensure compliance with state and local labor laws.
3. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of management experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
Proven success in leading teams, achieving financial goals, and improving operational performance.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
In-depth knowledge of restaurant financials, cost control systems, and scheduling.
Proficiency in POS and restaurant management software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to relocate and travel for training or operational support as needed.
4. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during service.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
