Service Advisor

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Springfield, MA branch location. We are looking for a Service Advisor with trailer or heavy equipment experience to join our team of trailer professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers and offer excellent customer service from intake to release of their trailer.
2. Check in equipment for service work and sign out completed work to customers.
3. Consulting with mechanics regarding necessary repairs.
4. Using your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
5. Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, trailer drop-off, and pick-up.
6. Manage warranty claims, all communication with manufacturers and communication with customers.
7. Calling customers to advise them about service changes or pick-up times.
8. Maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
9. Ensuring all details on services rendered and costs are related to customers and processing their payments.
10. Maintain customer records and enter data into computer databases.
11. Coordinates with the parts department staff to order parts to complete jobs in the most efficient and time sensitive manner.
12. Perform tasks in an efficient, timely, accurate, professional, and safe manner in accordance with all Company polices, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations.
13. Comply with the Company safety program by promoting safety awareness and a safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Must have min 3 years meaningful / practical work experience in trailers or heavy equipment.
• Must have a strong knowledge regarding the safe handling and operation of trailers and/or tractors and mechanical aptitude.
• Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, results-oriented, problem-solving attitude.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies.
• Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
