Position Overview
Inpatient gastroenterology position at Baptist Health. Seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible Gastroenterology physicians with advanced procedural skills in ERCP and EUS. This 7 on 7 off schedule covers up to two hospitals, performing procedures and managing inpatient and ER consults.
Responsibilities
- Perform ERCP and EUS procedures.
- Provide inpatient care for gastrointestinal patients.
- Manage emergency department gastrointestinal consults.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the two hospital sites.
- Assist in teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students.
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.Proficiency in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex inpatient cases.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.Completion of a residency in Gastroenterology (or equivalent training).Valid medical license in Alabama and ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed.Benefits
