RN - Urology - Full Time

Job Summary

A registered professional nurse employed with the Academic Urologists of Erlanger Health System is responsible for direct and indirect care of patients undergoing invasive urology procedures / surgery and those experiencing acute urologic maladies. This position follows a team?based approach to care, with roles trained to meet Tennessee / Georgia guidelines. The nurse is trained to coordinate care for patients, support patients / families / caregivers in self?management and behavior change, manage the practices patient population, and participate in quality improvement and performance evaluation.

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Annual Erg Erfahrungen Health System HLC courses (required)

Department Position Summary

The RN must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive direct and / or indirect care of patients undergoing urologic procedures / surgery as well as patients experiencing acute and chronic urologic maladies. Duties include assessing and monitoring patients pre? and post?procedure, administering medications, and assisting with procedures under the direction of EHS physicians. The RN must provide age?appropriate care, interpret patient data, and apply the principles of growth and development over the life span in accordance with the units policies and procedures.
