The Line Cook will assist in the preparation of ingredients, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support the overall culinary operations.
Duties
- Prepare and chop ingredients for meals according to recipes and menu planning.
- Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, soups, and other components as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Organize and store food items in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation for catering events or restaurant service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Participate in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on seasonal ingredients.
Requirements :
Previous experience in a dietary department, restaurant, or culinary setting is preferred.Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.Experience with meal preparation, catering, or as a dietary aide is a plus.A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in the kitchen.
