Water Damage Mitigation Technician

When unwanted water is released in homes or buildings, it causes damage, and that damage must be mitigated quickly to prevent further damage. When a person's basement floods, or when they experience other damage from water, they call us to take care of the problem. No experience necessary. We will provide on-the-job training. We will pay for you to become certified in water damage mitigation after you gain a certain amount of experience. This position consists of the following :

• Assist lead technician in on-site duties
• Extracting water from carpet / pad and hard surfaces
• Removing drywall and insulation
• Removing carpet and pad
• Setting up drying equipment
• Monitoring drying progress
• Packing up drying equipment when the drying process is complete
• Maintain work van to stay prepared for the next job

We occasionally clean up sewer backups from toilets and drains. All necessary personal protective equipment is provided by us, and we will train how to properly handle these situations. This job sometimes requires working overtime, including nights and weekends, because the industry is seasonal. We understand that family and personal life is important, so we will not expect anyone to work overtime every single week, but this is emergency work and we can't control when the jobs come in. That being said, a typical week will be around 40 hours and will be mostly 8am to 4 pm Monday - Friday.
