As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for developing sustained new business relationships and building mutual beneficial partnerships with decision makers in the B2B industry. Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek new B2B business opportunities by utilizing modern business strategies and techniques.
  • Develop and implement careful planning to ensure the success of new business ventures.
  • Understand the fundamentals of e-commerce, including the B2B landscape, online sales channels, customer journey, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Utilize B2B sales and e-commerce platforms, as well as content management systems, to effectively manage B2B sales operations.
  • Possess strong business acumen and understanding of revenue generation, profit margins, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Analyze data and identify trends, customer behavior, and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Utilize digital marketing concepts such as SEO, PPC advertising, email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing to attract and engage B2B customers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in e-commerce platforms and content management systems for efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Exhibit strong project management skills to oversee and coordinate various aspects of B2B e-commerce operations, including web updates, product launches, marketing campaigns, and customer support initiatives.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and B2B clients to articulate ideas, negotiate contracts, and build relationships.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose solutions in the fast-paced e-commerce environment.
  • Place customer focus at the center of decision-making and provide personalized experiences to build long-term relationships and drive customer loyalty.
  • Show a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to the ever-evolving e-commerce industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer proficiency, including MS Excel for analyzing spreadsheets and charts.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website development is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service and time management skills.
  • Proven work experience as a business sales representative or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls.
  • Track record of achieving new sales.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
