Job description

Overview

Our client in Arlington, VA has engaged a Systems Integrator to migrate their Oracle EBS system to the Cloud. The client is looking for a Client Engagement Project Manager responsible for managing the SI vendor thru the complete project life cycle, including approval, planning, execution, user training, and closeout to ensure planned results are achieved on time. Develop / Review budgets, timelines and ensure progress to plan, as well as track critical project achievements. Works with vendors and teams to establish and achieve goals. Coordinates the activities of cross-functional teams. Has in-depth project management experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline. Must be willing to work onsite at the client location in Arlington, VA. The project duration is for one year with an option to extend.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the client projects at a high level and serve as the client PM in collaboration with the vendor implementing the project
  • Use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes
  • Manage project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings and written, electronic and graphic reports
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, action item registers and major milestone timelines for all assigned projects. Provide overall prioritization and director of work assignments, team resources, etc. Monitor and create project deliverables
  • Coordinate with other work streams, projects and initiatives which may impact successful completion of the project
  • Manage all assigned projects to completion ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budget, and overall project ownership
  • Act as a single point of contact for project status and maintain communication with stakeholders
  • Facilitate project meetings
  • Address problems through risk management and contingency planning and present solutions and / or options to executive management. Ensure effective implementation of solutions / changes
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Manage change requests and address project issues and problems
  • Coordinate vendor demos and lead internal staff training on new vendor systems, tools, and products

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing large vendor / partnership contracts at all stages
  • 5 years of experience working in a demanding, results-orientated environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience leading and facilitating meetings, and briefing senior leaders
  • Experience managing ERP implementation is preferred
  • PMI Certification & Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM / Finance is preferred
