Lead Patient Logistics Coordinator - Patient Access Center
Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies the Lead Patient Logistics Coordinator functions independently and serves as an assistant to the Nursing Administration Team. The Lead Patient Logistics Coordinator provides operational leadership to the team of Patient Logistics Coordinators and serves as a resource to the team, the Administrators-On-Site, and LMHS Nursing Managers and Directors. The Lead Patient Logistics Coordinator provides administrative support for committees. Handles self in a professional manner. Is pleasant, courteous and helpful to all personnel and visitors when answering telephone or greeting individuals in-person.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred. Additional business college education is preferred.
Licensure / Certification : None required.
Experience : Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point is required. Three (3) years of experience in an administrative office and experience in a lead and / or supervisor role are preferred.
Skills : Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact and diplomacy. Must have verbal and numerical ability; be competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; demonstrate continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proof reading materials; and the documented ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Must also demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple competing tasks and demands, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
