Salary : $50,000-$60,000
We are hiring an entry-level Accountant to support daily accounting and the month-end close. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with AP and AR, and help produce accurate financials. This is a good role for someone with a bachelor's degree in accounting who is ready to apply what they learned and grow.
Key Responsibilities
Month-end close
- Prepare standard journal entries such as accruals, reclasses, prepaids, and fixed assets.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a set cadence and clear reconciling items.
Accounts payable and receivable support
Review coding, timing, and approvals for accounts payable; help with payment runs as needed.Post cash receipts, apply customer payments, and research short-pays or disputes.Maintain accurate vendor records.General accounting
Maintain schedules for fixed assets and depreciation.Assist with inventory or COGS reconciliations if applicable.Prepare bank reconciliations.Help compile weekly and monthly management reports.Compliance and audit
Support sales and use tax filings and 1099 year-end preparation.Gather support for external auditors.Follow company policies and internal controls and suggest improvements when you spot gaps.Systems and process
Keep digital workpapers and documentation organized.Use the ERP or accounting system and Excel to maintain accurate, timely records.What Youll Bring
Bachelors degree in Accounting, or Finance with strong accounting coursework.Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.Working knowledge of GAAP and the month-end cycle.Excel skills including lookups, pivots, filters, and basic formulas; comfort learning new systems.Experience with an accounting platform such as QuickBooks and SAP a plus.Strong attention to detail, good follow-through, and clear communication.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle confidential information.Nice to Have
CPA eligibility or interest in pursuing the CPA.Exposure to sales and use tax, fixed assets, or inventory accounting.Work Environment
On-site, Monday through Friday, 8 hours / day.Periodic extra hours may be needed at month-end and quarter-end.How Success Will Be Measured
