Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for a Construction Engineer 1 position at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM.
- Pay : $40 / hr - $47 / hr
- Location : 100% Onsite – Los Alamos, NM (TA-55)
- Citizenship : U.S. Citizenship Required
- Work Schedule : 4 / 10s preferred; flexible with other shifts
- Clearance : Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance

As a Construction Engineer 1, you’ll play an essential supporting role in LANL’s infrastructure and nuclear facility installation projects. You’ll work directly with senior engineers to execute construction oversight and ensure alignment with technical and safety requirements supporting national security missions.
Responsibilities And Duties
Support field construction activities through inspections, documentation, and reportingApply standard engineering techniques and established processes to project executionVerify work conforms with approved drawings, standards, and specificationsSupport problem-solving efforts with field teams and design engineersParticipate in safety and quality meetings; assist with material verification and status trackingMinimum Qualifications
Understanding of basic engineering and construction principlesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skillsDesired Skills
Exposure to DOE or DOD projectsKnowledge of codes and standards such as ASME, NEC, and IBCExperience in construction, facility systems, or mechanical / electrical workEducation And Experience Requirements
