We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team and ensure our clinical tools and environment meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and regulatory compliance.
Position Summary :
- The Orthodontic Sterilization Technician is responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, sterilization and preparation of orthodontic instruments and appliances, stocking and maintaining the sterilization area, and supporting the clinical team with set‑up and turnover of treatment rooms. This role plays a vital part in helping the doctors and clinical staff deliver efficient, safe care to our patients.
- Schedule : Average 24-32 hours a week.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform all duties with excellence.Properly sterilize and pack all instruments and equipment under department policy.Perform all opening, closing, and maintenance procedures described in the sterilization and maintenance policies handbook.Restock and maintain an inventory of sterilization supplies and instruments to ensure a constant level is always available.Communicate to the lead assistant and ordering personnel any supplies that need replenishing or replacement.Maintain order and cleanliness in the sterilization area and toothbrushing area. Perform mandatory weekly spore testing and maintain a log for records.Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of the Autoclave.Restock all stations daily with supplies needed.Maintain laundry (lab coats and towels) along with taking trash & recycling out.Seat patients, assist clinical assistants, set up and tear down patient chairs between patients.Other duties may include participating in team activities, replenishing patient education material and JLO swag, and community involvement events.Benefits to include :
