CEI Roadway And Bridge Construction Inspector 4

CDM Smith's CEI team in Mississippi (Jackson to Starkville) Natchez Trace Parkway is seeking a candidate to inspect and monitor construction activities at the project site(s). Inspector must be able to perform the most complex inspection activities for at least two of the five categories of construction inspection : roadway, bridges, drainage, erosion & control, and maintenance & traffic. Candidate will work under limited supervision or direct supervision depending on the demonstrated knowledge for the assignment. Work will require the knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction; knowledge of geometry and basic mathematics; ability to read, interpret and explain construction plans and drawings, contract provisions, and specifications; and communications ability.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, certifications from a state highway agency or national entity such as ACI (American Concrete Institute) or NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete if required by the client or jurisdiction in which they will be working, a valid driver's license, and four years of related experience. Domestic and / or international travel may be required.
