Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an MS / Tele position requiring a current NY license and proficiency in Epic charting.

Responsibilities

Position located in a hospital MS / Tele unit with 26 beds

Specializes in post-PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post-MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions

Patient ratios range from 1 : 5 to 1 : 7

Day shifts (4x12 hours), 7 : 00 to 19 : 00

Every other weekend and holiday availability required

Floating to other units required

Epic EMR system must be used

Care for patients post-cardiac interventions and monitor for dysrhythmias

Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed

Supportive hospital environment with team-based nursing care

Scrub attire may be any combination of navy and white

Pre-start modules must be completed prior to assignment

First-time travelers are accepted

Holiday and weekend coverage is required per unit schedule

Requirements

Active NY RN license in hand is required for consideration

Current BLS certification required

Minimum of 1 year recent MS / Tele RN experience

Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response

Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and non-invasive airway management

Isolation precaution protocols knowledge required

Proficiency in Epic charting is a hard requirement

Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
