Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med / Surg RN for night shifts with EPIC experience and current KY or compact RN licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 24-bed Observation Medical Unit, functioning as a Med / Surg unit
  • Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, general medical, post-procedural, and COVID positive symptomatic cases
  • Provides titratable cardiac drip management and cares for overflow patients from outpatient infusion areas
  • Night shifts with 3x12-hour schedule from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • No floating required within the hospital or to affiliate locations
  • Uses EPIC for documentation; EPIC experience is required
  • Care for patients requiring observation and ongoing monitoring for a variety of acute diagnoses
  • Strong team environment focused on collaboration and excellent patient care
  • Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
  • No radius rule applies for residency
  • COVID positive patients are cared for on this unit

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; IV certification preferred
  • Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
  • 1-2 years of med / surg nursing experience preferred
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Cannot have worked as a permanent employee in the past 10 years at specified health systems
  • Two professional references needed for consideration
  • Copy of certifications required for consideration
