We’re seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our growing team. Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist clients. You’ll be responsible for the preparation and processing of legal documents and other administrative tasks, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, conducting research, and performing any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. Compensation : $20 - $24 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Assist paralegals and attorneys with document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading of legal documents, such as pleadings, exhibits, and discovery requests
• Manage client communication and correspondence, including phone calls and email
• Meet with clients in the office for questions, notary services, disbursements, etc.
• Schedule appointments, court dates, and other case-related events based on attorney and client availability
• Conduct legal research using online and print sources, following the direction and guidance of the paralegal
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and filing
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules, procedures, and legal requirements
• Perform other duties as needed by the paralegal or attorneys
