The Daughters of Charity Ministries is a senior living community for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity. We are located in Menands, NY in a wonderful, parklike setting. We offer three levels of care- independent, assisted and memory care. We provide person respected care in a clean and friendly environment. We have the following position available.

Housekeeper- This is Per Diem position. Our housekeepers are an integral part of our team. The Housekeeper cleans and sanitizes rooms and furnishings following established procedures and schedules in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility. This position requires prior experience in an assisted living community. Our housekeepers have some of the following responsibilities.

• Cleaning and maintaining rooms, offices, parlors etc.
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms according to schedule.
• Launder specified personal laundry.
• Maintain guest rooms for visitors.
• Notify the Manager of any repairs that may be necessary.
• Practice Standard Precautions / Infection Control.
• Maintain professional discretion, strict confidentiality and prudent speech concerning all aspects of the position.
• Assist the Sisters with requests / questions they may have.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve facility and departmental goals.
• Utilize opportunities to develop job skills.
• Other tasks as needed.
