Principal Developer I

As a Principal Developer I o­­n the IT Service Activation (ITSA) team, you'll be Responsible for engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications and signal processing hardware, software and electrical systems. Works with technical operations staff on system design and configuration. Works with design teams and advises team leaders.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

• Experience:IT Work experience designing/configuring systems/applications working in development (restful service development, micro services, Springboot) - 8+ yearsIT Work experience working with Relational Databases (SQL based) (experience should be commensurate with working in several areas of IT to understand a generalist perspective of the end to end lifecycle of a system) - 6+ years
• Education:BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Micro-services architecture desirableExperience working in Telecommunications industryTechnology agnostic and experience working with multiple technologies stacksOracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Developer Professional Certification
• Technical Skills:Advanced knowledge of OOP (object oriented programming) & prototypal inheritance Advanced working knowledge and experience with Spring framework (Spring Boot). Advanced knowledge of language based programming (i.e. Java 8 currently used) Advanced knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and writing shell scripts Advanced knowledge of web services development both Restful and SOAP Advanced knowledge of Tomcat server Advanced knowledge of Unit Testing frameworks and continuous integration tools Advanced knowledge of Maven Advanced knowledge of Git version control system Advanced knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology Advanced knowledge in TCP/IP and the OSI Model Advanced knowledge of network devices and basic network appliances Advanced knowledge of network designing software, such as Visio Knowledge of at least two application server platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBOSS, etc.) Knowledge of at least three development languages ((Java 8, JavaScript, C/C++, ObjectiveC, Perl, Python, ASP/.Net, Go, React, Angular, Hadoop, SQL,) Knowledge of at least three development or test automation tools (ANT, Maven, Hudson/Jenkins, JUnit, JMeter, etc.) Advanced knowledge of Unified Inventory management, the Oracle COTs product.Advanced knowledge of Oracle design studio, Cartridge modeling capabilities, Oracle UI customization using ADF.Advanced knowledge of UIM Core Product APIs, Rulesets architecture.
• Skills:Basic knowledge of OSS/BSS infrastructure technologies and concepts
• Abilities:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to demonstrate lateral thinking required to solve complex technical problems to provide outside the box solutions.
