Description :

This role involves care for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries and interventions.

Candidates will be screened clinically for fit, and successful candidates will have an interview with management.

Candidates will work with patients aged 18 years and older.

The unit specializes in post-operative recovery and management of cardiac medical conditions.

Candidates may encounter COVID patients and should be prepared to provide care in a tobacco and fragrance-free environment.

Weekend shifts may be required, and candidates will be expected to work during major holidays.

Candidates may be asked to float to other departments if necessary.

Potential care responsibilities include managing patients post-interventional cardiology procedures and post-surgery.

Interdisciplinary support teams include IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Pharmacy.

Patient diagnoses may include chest pain, unstable heart failure, and rhythm issues.

Special procedures may involve cardiac catheters, pacemakers, and heart ablations.

Candidates will be responsible for monitoring telemetry patients and managing various medical devices and treatments.
