MEP Superintendent - Government Projects - DC Metro

The MEP Superintendent - Government Projects - DC Metro will be responsible for :

  • Enforce OSHA and project-specific safety protocols across all MEP site activities.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure a zero-incident work environment.
  • Oversee MEP subcontractors, manage manpower, work sequencing, and adherence to plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely installation of all equipment and materials.
  • Review submittals and resolve field installation issues in real time.
  • Manage quality control processes and lead technical coordination meetings.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and design teams to resolve MEP conflicts.
  • Assist in trade bidding and procurement processes.
  • Track equipment submittals and deliveries to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Oversee mechanical and electrical system startups.
  • Coordinate with third-party commissioning agents and manage all related documentation.
  • Maintain strong, professional communication with federal clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery.

The MEP Superintendent - Government Projects - DC Metro will have :

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical system construction.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mission critical, hospital, or MEP-intensive projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction best practices.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership, scheduling, and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • LEED AP, OSHA 500, or other relevant certifications.
  • BIM experience is a plus.
