As a carpenter you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood and other materials, requiring a blend of technical skills, physical stamina, and attention to detail. Must be able to commute to Marshfield and not be more than 40 miles

away from Marshfield.

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Construction and Repair : build, install, and repair frameworks and structures, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Work on fixtures like cabinets, stairs, and paneling.
  • Blueprint Interpretation : read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the materials and plan of action required for each project.
  • Measurement and Cutting : measure, cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials to ensure precise construction.
  • Quality Control : inspect and replace damaged frameworks or fixtures, ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards.
  • Tool Operation : Proficient use of hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and sanders, is essential for completing tasks efficiently

    • Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge : A strong understanding of wood properties, carpentry techniques, and construction materials is crucial.
  • Physical Stamina : Must be physically fit, capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to Detail : Precision in measurements and cuts is vital to prevent material wastage and ensure high-quality results.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to identify potential issues in projects and develop effective solutions is important.
  • Teamwork : Have the ability to work with others cooperatively to get the job done efficiently and effectively. Also be able to take suggestions from others on the team with more experience and follow through. Have a positive attitude in all situations.
  • Hard working and dedicated
  • Communication Skills : Good communication is necessary for discussing project details with clients and collaborating with other construction professionals.

    • Work Environment

  • Work on construction sites, which may expose you to various weather conditions and require adherence to safety regulations. You will work indoors or outdoors, depending on the project.
