What You Will Contribute To OHM Advisors : As a construction engineer, you will contribute to the successful execution of infrastructure projects by overseeing construction activities, ensuring quality, managing costs, and maintaining safety and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day interfacing with project team members, clients, contractors, and other technical experts regarding project-related items.
- Opportunity for a variety of project experiences and potential for advancement within the organization.
- Effectively communicate project details to the project team and clients.
- Provide project-related guidance, coaching, and direction to staff.
- Manage and prepare project scope descriptions, schedules, and budgets.
Requirements
Education, Experience, & Licensure :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or higher.Minimum of 5+ years of combined experience in the industry, with at least 1 year in construction observation and / or management.Experience in water main, sanitary sewer, road, pathways, and stormwater systems is desirable.Ability to obtain the state PE license within 3 years of employment.Technical Skills :
Working knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques, and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, procedure manuals, and construction drawings / plans.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.Preferred Qualifications :
MDOT / LAP construction project management experience is preferred.Benefits
