Senior Director, Global Safety & Security
Location : Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid Onsite)
Compensation : $200K–$240K base
Overview
Our client, a leading global organization in the consumer products sector, is seeking a Senior Director of Global Safety & Security to develop and oversee enterprise-wide security, safety, and risk management programs. This executive-level leader will define strategy, strengthen governance, and ensure a culture of safety and preparedness across global operations.
The role requires a strategic security professional with experience spanning both government and private-sector environments, capable of engaging with C-suite leadership and managing complex, multinational programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a comprehensive global safety and security framework that aligns with corporate priorities and values.
- Physical & Operational Security : Oversee physical security for all sites, including high-risk facilities, offices, and events.
- Crisis Management : Lead business continuity and incident response programs, ensuring preparedness and coordinated recovery efforts.
- Executive Protection & Event Oversight : Direct executive protection operations and organize security logistics for corporate and international events.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Facilities, HR, Legal, IT Security, Compliance, and external law enforcement agencies to manage and mitigate risk.
- Governance & Compliance : Ensure all programs comply with applicable regulations and ethical standards across regions.
- Leadership : Build, develop, and mentor a distributed team of global security and safety professionals.
Qualifications
12+ years of progressive experience leading corporate and / or global security programs within large, complex organizations.Proven track record managing enterprise-level safety, risk management, and business continuity initiatives.Experience collaborating with government or law enforcement agencies (FBI, DHS, or equivalent).Ability to influence senior leadership and provide balanced, diplomatic guidance in high-pressure environments.Demonstrated experience in regulated or manufacturing-based industries (e.g., food, healthcare, or consumer goods).Strong executive presence, communication skills, and ethical decision-making.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Security Management, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.This role is best suited for a seasoned security executive who brings a balance of operational expertise, strategic thinking, and composure under pressure. The ideal candidate has a background in both government service and corporate risk management, understands how to navigate global security programs, and is skilled at advising executive leadership with confidence and discretion.
