We need a dynamic supervisor who understands how peer support changes lives, and what peer specialists need to be successful. Key duties include providing administrative and professional supervision to a team of peer recovery specialists, liaising with other programs in coordinating services, reviewing referrals, consulting on challenging situations in providing services, leading group supervisions, and maintaining program quality. At the heart of the position is ensuring the program remains person-driven, and wellness and recovery centered. The position reports to the Recovery Programs Manager within the Recovery Services Division.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree plus four years of professional human services or related work experience.

Contingent upon the area of assignment, some positions within this class may require specific certification(s) prior to employment and / or the ability to acquire necessary certification(s) within a specified time period following employment. The certifications are identified in the position description and employment advertisement .

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED :

Note : DBHDS Peer Recovery Specialist Supervisor Training will be provided

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, child protective services registry check, driving record check, and tuberculosis test to the satisfaction of the employer. This position is emergency / essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and / or other emergencies.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor(s). Ability to operate keyboard driven equipment and lift up to 15 lbs. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to drive a county vehicle. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
