Job descriptionRN Antepartum Minimum experience required-2 years. Screen for less than 2 years or no experience with C-Sections. SCREEN IF INTERMEDIATE AWHONN ONLY For manager Approval Float required to Postpartum unit. High Risk Antepartum- 6 weeks to 41 weeks PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, prom, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy. Care of fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, postpartum mother with baby in NICU, no newborns on this unit. SKILLS : Antepartum Care and Procedures : Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation) IV Therapy / Phlebotomy : Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) Medication & Administration : Anticoagulants, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy Labor and Delivery Management : Circulate for C-section
