ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE :

Physicians Care is part of Urgent Team, a network with 12 locations in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, dedicated to offering top-quality and affordable family healthcare at over 80 centers across the Southeast.

At Physicians Care, our walk-in clinics provide various healthcare services, including injury and illness treatment, occupational wellness, and more. We are open seven days a week : Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our centers are also recognized as Accredited Care Centers by the Urgent Care Association for our commitment to safety and quality.

JOB SUMMARY :

As an X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for performing x-ray tests with a focus on patient safety and care. You'll operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare exam rooms with the necessary supplies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The duties include, but are not limited to :

• Welcome and assist patients in the waiting area and exam rooms.
• Communicate estimated wait times and navigate patients through the treatment process.
• Resolve patient issues and seek assistance in emergencies.
• Follow up with patients promptly.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in / out as needed.
• Document patient vital signs, history, medications, and allergies.
• Aid in patient transfers and assist during provider-supervised procedures.
• Perform timely radiology procedures for physician evaluation.
• Conduct quality control measures to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepare patients for procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
• Stay updated with diagnostic imaging best practices through education.
• Ensure current licensure and certification for radiology equipment.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

Applicants should have :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• State X-Ray License
• ARRT Certification (preferred)
• Experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred)
