About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Finance and Reporting Associate Vice President to lead our finance team. In this influential role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your accounting expertise and finance transformation skills while guiding a talented team to success. You will take ownership of the complete GAAP and statutory reporting lifecycle, implement modernization initiatives, and enhance our reporting environment.
Your key responsibilities will include streamlining financial close processes, promoting efficiency, and driving automation and data analytics. You will work closely with senior leadership on key business initiatives, focusing on technical accounting in areas such as long-duration contract accounting and NAIC Blue Book reporting.
To be considered for this role, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, with a CPA preferred; a Master’s degree is a plus. We seek candidates with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, including at least 5 years in leadership positions. A strong foundation in life insurance and long-duration accounting is essential, along with experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, and financial systems implementation.
