Job Summary
The Senior System Analyst is responsible for assisting in the evaluation of Patient Financial Services (PFS) computer applications, implementation, training, testing, support, and optimization of assigned computer applications; project management including planning, implementation, and close out phases of the project.
Licensure and Certification:
Education:
- Preferred: BA/BS in Computer Science or business-related field
- Equivalent experience may be substituted for education
Experience:
- Minimum six years in hospital systems analysis and installations with an understanding of the function of hospital, relationships among departments, andoverall organization of the institution
- Working experience with intermediate project management principles including directing the activities of other resources assigned to the project
- Clinical or Financial system implementation knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of SQL, DB structure, PC MS applications, file transfers and interfacing
- Education of customers in system concepts and operation
- Experience with Meditech Client Server and/or Cerner Systems, preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
- Able to troubleshoot, including areas involving no previous experience
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Work cooperatively as a team member
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Physical Demands – Clerical/Administrative Non-Patient Care:
- Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change.
- Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
