Job Summary

The Test Technician supports test engineering activities by testing electrical connectors and collecting, analyzing, and distributing data to test engineers. Technicians will support a variety of production departments.

Schedule : M-F 6 : 00AM -2 : 30PM

Pay rate : $18-$24 / HR

Responsibilities

  • Set up electrical equipment to perform electrical tests such as Dielectric Withstanding

Voltage, Insulation Resistance, and Contact Resistance.

  • Setup environmental chambers to perform tests such as Thermal Shock, Heat Quench, and Vacuum bake.
  • Set up and perform mechanical tests such as connector mating and unmating torque, contact separation and engagement, durability testing.
  • Read and interpret test specifications.
  • Accurately document Test Data.
  • Support Qualification and Production Testing.
  • Report non-conforming material through documentation.
  • Build test fixtures for Electrical Testing with the guidance of test engineering

    • Experience

  • Proficiency in surface mount technology and familiarity with manufacturing processes is essential.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and ohmmeters.
  • Background in test automation, data collection, debugging, quality inspection, and analysis skills is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics to facilitate effective troubleshooting and testing procedures.
  • Experience with soldering techniques and assembly processes is an advantage.
  • Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
